Ladies Diary Magnetic Tray

Here is a present I made for my friend Haley. It is a cookie sheet from the dollar store. I used Graphic 45's A Ladies Diary paper stack to cover and decorate. I played around with some ultra thick embossing enamel for the first time. I dipped the flowers and hot glued them on magnets. I really like the way it turned out.

Simple baby mini for Lawson

This is a very simple baby book I made for my friends new beautiful grandson. She is not a scrapbooker so I wanted to really showcase the pictures. I used Graphic 45's Lil Darling stack. The paper is beautiful even without all the extras I usually add in a mini album.

Two Altered Projects

Here are two new projects I have been working on. They are gifts for my Mom and my Mother-in-law. I bought two kitchen decorations from The Dollar General. They were 5 X 10 pictures with cafe and bistro written on them.

I started by covering the front with beautiful Graphic 45 paper.

Next I painted 3 clothespins gold, sprayed them with Lindy's spray, and hot glued them down.

Then came the fun part....decorating.....wheeeee!! I made three photo mats, fussy cut and distressed, inked and glitter sprayed. Here are the results. Let me know what you think.

Journaling with livelovescrap (Bona)

I am starting my journal today. I have joined Bona in her journaling endeavor. Bona is livelovescrap on youtube. Look her up. The idea is to use your scraps, and things you already have to make this journal. I am using a recipe book my Mom received in her wedding shower, an old frame my Grandmother gave me, and some wedding wrapping paper my mother found in her attic. I am excited to get started. I plan on taking pictures and post them as the project is done. I hope you enjoy the journey with me.

A Challenge from My Scraproom

This is just a fun challenge I am doing at My Scraproom. I thought I'd share the project with you. We needed to use a toilet paper roll, incorporate the color white, and use a zipper and pearls. The flower is made from a white zipper. What do you think about what I came up with? The photo on the tag is one of my Grandparents when they were dating.

Wedding Day Memories

This is for Maggie. I wanted a mini for her to be able to journal and keep pics of her special day. I wanted her to be able to look back and remember how she felt when she woke up on her wedding day. I wanted her to be able to document all the special parts and even the little oops through out the day. A place to look back and see a pic of her Mom putting on her veil.  I hope this mini brings her joy through out her life as she looks back and remembers her Wedding Day.

The flowers are from Recollections. The paper stack is from DCWV.  The Mademoiselle Stack. Vintage Photo and Tea Dye are the Tim Holtz Distress Inks I used. This is a paperbag mini using The Paper Studio small paperbags from Hobby Lobby.

I know there are so many different paperbag mini albums out there. I know elements of this bag are used in other videos, but I did not copy this mini from any one person. If you have already done this, I 'm sorry for not giving you proper credit. :) I had fun making this mini for Maggie. I hope she enjoys it just as much.

Recipe Book

Here are some pictures of the recipe book that I did. I still haven't made the one for my daughter yet. This one is for a friend who is getting married this week. I hope you like it.

I made the album using a design from Paper Phenomenon. Kathy is a genius. The design is called The Ultimate Paper Bag Album. If you aren't already familiar with Kathy, check her out. She is kathyorta on youtube. On Ustream her classes are given under Paper Phenomenon. Here is a link to her blog http://paperphenomenon.blogspot.com/

I found the Farm Fresh paper stack from the Paper Studio at Hobby. I loved the old vintage farmhouse kitchen feel the paper had. I distressed the paper using Vintage Photo and Walnut distress inks.  Now I need to make another for my newly married daughter. Instead of focusing on the apple motif, I am going to use the eggs for sale. I  can't wait to get started !

Okay my friends, have a happy scrap filled day :)

shabby chic mini using prima papers

I'm busy working on a shabby chic mini using the Prima Romantique collection. Be on the look out for some pics or a vid this week. This mini is really trying to challenge me. I want to ink it, tear it, and grunge it up, but I'm trying my best to stick to shabby chic. White washing it, white lace, and flowers are harder to do than you think. ;) Check in with you later on my progress.

I have several more ideas. I want to start an old farmhouse vintage looking recipe book for my daughter. I'm excited to play with my Le Cirque Graphic 45 papers as well. A paperbag mini sounds fun to me. What do you think?

Fashionista mini

This mini album is about to be on it's way to New Zealand. The papers I used were the Graphic 45 Fashionista stack. Most of the flowers were made using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die cut. The leaves were his Tattered Leaves Die cut. I am just going to use metal rings to bind it because it is such a chunky album. Graphic 45 and anything by Tim Holtz is always a favorite of mine so those products are used in abundance in this mini. On the front cover I have used a cut out from the Graphic 45 Communique collection. The film strip ribbon is also from the Tim Holtz collection. I also glimmer misted some flowers from Recollections. The ink is mostly vintage photo and walnut stain.
Anyway, I can't remember everything I used (I'll learn to write that down huh?) but if you have any questions, just give me a shout. I hope you enjoy viewing the mini as much as I enjoyed making it.
Michelle I hope you have fun with your album and I can't wait to see mine. :)
